Purpose of the PAIMI Advisory Council
As required under the Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI) Act, 42 U.S.C. 10801 et seq., the purpose of the PAIMI Advisory Council is to advise Disability Rights Montana staff and its Board of Directors on policies and priorities to be carried out in proteting the advocating for the rights of individuals with mental illness in Montana. It is also the purpose of the Council to advise the Board of Directors and staff regarding its annual statement of objectives and priorities for the PAIMI program and to educate the public regarding Disability Rights Montana's purpose, priorities, and activities.
The PAIMI Advisory Council meets four times per year. All meetings are held in locations which are accessible to people with mental, physical, and sensory disabilities. The meetings are generally held every quarter on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Click here to view the meeting agendas.
